Fibronectin (FN) is found in interstitial matrix, on cell surfaces, plasma and other body fluids. It is a large multidomain glycoprotein that interacts with a variety of macromolecules. FN also interacts with itself and binds several small molecules. It appears to play a role in cellular migration during wound healing and development.
